INVASIVE WEED CONTROL

The HLCA and the Indiana DNR LARE have worked together for close to 2 decades to ensure Hudson Lake remains healthy and usable – treating specific invasive weeds that can clog and/or kill a lake.

PROJECT DETAILS

The HLCA partners with Aquatic Weed Control (AWC) and others annually to execute the process of identifying the areas needing treatment, determining a budget and applying for the appropriate LARE grants. This occurs in the fall/winter, grants are awarded in the spring. Permits are secured, the areas are rescoped for treatment, treatments are applied. Sometimes subsequent treatments are required. If funds are available, these treatments are approved and completed.

PROJECT WORK

Work with AWC and others to work through the process defined above each year.

It takes a community to keep Hudson Lake healthy and enjoyable. Anyone interested in working on This PRoject, please reach out to us at info@hlcaindiana.com.
